At the Rady JCC, our Israeli Programming brings people together to celebrate culture, deepen connection, and strengthen Jewish identity and peoplehood.
Through vibrant events, hands-on experiences, and meaningful gatherings, we create opportunities for individuals and families of all ages, both within the Jewish Community and beyond, to engage with the beauty, spirit, and diversity of Israel.
This type of programming is filled with music, food, learning, and connection, creating lasting memories while fostering pride and belonging.
Our programs also play an important role in welcoming and supporting Israeli families who are building their lives in Winnipeg. By creating spaces where Hebrew is heard, culture is shared, and relationships can grow, we help ensure that everyone feels a sense of home and connection within our community.

We are about to throw the biggest birthday party in Winnipeg.
The question is: Are you in or out?
On Wednesday, April 22 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., you’re invited to a community-wide Yom Ha’atzmaut celebration - celebrating Israel’s Independence Day - at the Rady JCC.
This is a night for everyone. Families, friends, neighbours, and anyone looking for a fun and welcoming evening out. And please know that for everyone’s comfort, enhanced security measures will be in place throughout the event.
Whether you come every year or this is your first time celebrating Israel’s birthday, we promise you’ll feel right at home.
We’re bringing the Asper Campus to life with live music, delicious food, family activities, cultural experiences, and plenty of space to gather, celebrate, and connect.
High energy, meaningful, and a whole lot of fun!
Our Yom Ha’atzmaut celebration has always been about community. And this year, it means even more. It’s a chance to come together, show our pride, and share something special with each other and with the broader Winnipeg community.
And the best part? It’s completely free to attend. You just need to pre-register below.

Full Schedule of Events
4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. | Gymnasium & Rady Pool
Kick things off with family fun for all ages! You can look forward to:
- Interactive children’s activities and games
- Free family swim at the Rady Pool
- Hot dogs and snacks available for purchase
5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. | Multi-Purpose Room
We’ve created a space just for tweens. There will be games, activities, and hangout time designed just for them.
6:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. | Gymnasium
Feel the energy of Israel! Join in for Harkada Israeli community dancing. No experience needed, just jump in and have fun.
7:15 p.m. | Gymnasium
The main event, emceed by crowd favourite Barry K of Cherry Tree Productions, brings the energy all night long. Enjoy live Israeli music and dance performances featuring:
- Sarah Sommer Chai Folk Ensemble
- Kadima Dance Company
- Beyachad School of Dance
- Dor Chadash Choir
- Anat Kriger
End the night in style with fireworks and a big outdoor celebration!
All Israeli food available from Schmoozer’s by Congregation Shaarey Zedek.
