Swimming at the Rady

Swimming is one of the most rewarding skills a person can learn. Not only is aquatic exercise fun, and a great way to keep fit, but it can also save your life! Being comfortable in and out of water can build confidence, and add to greater enjoyment of life. 

 

The Rady JCC has programs for all ages, from post-natal Parent & Baby classes, to beginner classes for children of all ages, all the way to invigorating and enjoyable aquasize classes for seniors. Our exceptional instructors lead private, semi-private, and group lessons in our heated pool, which is the second-largest saltwater pool in Manitoba!

In addition to learn-to-swim programs, the Rady JCC offers a full lineup of nationally accredited lifesaving and swim instructor courses. For teens looking to gain work experience, the Rady is frequently hiring new instructors to keep up with the demand for our popular lessons! 

Swim sessions run in Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer. Classes fill up fast, but we have great news for Rady Members. Members have a dedicated earlybird registration period before each swim session to ensure they get the timeslots and levels they want. Members also save 25% on courses!

Aquatics Policies

We remind you that all Rady JCC policies and procedures must be respected at all times. We also have a zero-tolerance policy for harassment of any of our staff, lifeguards, and fellow members. Failure to abide by any of Rady JCC’s policies may result in loss of swim privileges.

ONLINE REPORT CARDS

Please be advised that your child’s report card will BE AVAILABLE ONLINE at the conclusion of the session.

Report cards will be accessible online for ALL upcoming sessions going forward.

You will be able to view your child’s report card 24/7, 365 days using the Swimgen program.

Please enter your child’s Amilia ID code (starts with a P) to view their online report card. If your past JCC code report cards have not transferred over to your Amilia ID code file, please contact Sarah at 204-477-7541.

NOTE – Any badges received, will be given in person on the last day of class.

REFUND POLICY

All refunds are subject to a 20% admin fee. Refunds will only be issued up to 7 days prior to start date of program unless the withdrawal is for medical reasons. Refunds will be issued in the form of a Rady JCC gift card to be used for a future program.

There are no make-up classes for missed classes due to the participant. If we need to cancel lessons for any unexpected reason, you will be refunded by gift card for the missed class or if possible, we will extend the session by a week. If we extend the session, we will notify you by phone or email that is on file. We may be able to accommodate make-up classes for Semi-Private or Private classes on a caseby-case basis.

The Rady JCC reserves the right to cancel any course at any time, should the course not meet the minimum number of participants registered. 

The Rady teaches the Lifesaving Society’s “Swim for Life” curriculum.
