Introducing the 2026 Adult & Youth Representatives for Shalom Square | Israel Pavilion

Shiran Dandiker - Adult Ambassador

Together with my dear family, we moved from Israel to Winnipeg just 8 months ago, and from the first moment at Folklorama, I was hooked! As a Jewish community ambassador, I am proud to share the richness, diversity, and joy of Israel and the Jewish people.

With over 20 years in healthcare management at Soroka and a background in academia, I now support students at Sapir College. My diverse skills range from healthcare and education to music, food, sports, and IT. I love everything from teaching Pilates to fixing computers, arranging spaces, and bringing creativity to everyday life — this diversity is at the heart of who I am, reflecting the vibrancy of being Israeli and Jewish.

My greatest joy is connecting with others—sharing stories, spreading laughter, and creating a sense of belonging. I’m both proud and humbled to represent our community, and I can’t wait to meet you all on this journey. Come join me, and don’t forget to take a selfie and tag me—let’s celebrate this adventure together!

Lihi Ben Chimol - Youth Ambassador

Hi! My name is Lihi Ben Chimol, and I’m a student at Gray Academy. I’m so excited to be your Israel Folklorama Youth Representative for 2026 at Shalom Square!

I moved from Israel to Winnipeg nine years ago, in July 2017, and I’m proud to represent both my culture and my country. On weekends, you might see me running the Family Fun Zone in the Rady JCC gym.

I’ve always enjoyed watching the performances at Folklorama and Yom Ha’atzmaut, and this year I wanted to show my appreciation by getting involved and representing our community.

I’m so excited to see you all at Shalom Square!

Abby Zentner - Youth Ambassador

Shalom, my name is Abby Zentner and I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to showcase my love and appreciation for my culture as a Youth Ambassador for this year’s Israel Shalom Square Pavilion.

Jewish summer camps have been a huge part of my life, and this past year I had the privilege of serving as a fellow for several global Jewish leadership organizations- along with my role as Chapter President in BBYO.

I have just graduated High School from Gray Academy of Jewish Education, where I spent the majority of my time helping coordinate Judaic programming, organizing sport tournaments, and, of course, doing plenty of socializing. I proudly study Hebrew through Omer Adam songs and can’t wait to show off those skills this summer. I’m looking forward to an incredible 2 weeks filled with unforgettable memories, delicious Israeli food, top-notch entertainment, and the chance to help spread the vibrant Israeli spirit!
