WINNIPEG, MB - The Rady JCC is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated return of Music ’N’ Mavens, running January 6 through March 26, 2026. Long recognized as Winnipeg’s premier winter concert and speaker series, this year’s edition launches with more energy, more talent and more ways to experience the arts, including the debut of Music ’N’ Mavens After Dark, an exclusive four-concert evening series.

Full details about this year’s program as well as ticket and registration information can be found on the Rady JCC website by clicking here.

For more than twenty years, Music ’N’ Mavens has transformed winter afternoons into gatherings filled with culture, creativity, and community. The 2026 season builds on that legacy with twenty daytime events that celebrate music, ideas and the extraordinary voices shaping today’s conversations.

“Music ’N’ Mavens is a place where people come together to be moved, inspired and challenged,” said Laura Marjovsky, Director of Programming at the Rady JCC. “Every performer and speaker brings something unforgettable to our stage. This year’s lineup is one of our most exciting yet.”

The concert series shines with performances by Mayors of Sambor, SoulBear, The Wrigley Brothers, Joey Gregorash, Zachary Rushing, Fu Fu Chi Chi Choir, The Very Groovy Things, Rosemarie Todaschuk, and many more. These concerts span genres from jazz to Klezmer, soul to Métis fiddling, and beloved classics to thrilling new creations made specifically for the Music ’N’ Mavens audience.

The speaker series presents some of Manitoba’s most compelling thinkers, including Evelyn L Forget, Sheila North, Haskel J. Greenfield, Shirley Render, Carla Compton, Roger Turenne, Kevin Chief, and Royce Koop. Each session promises thoughtful insight, meaningful dialogue and an opportunity to see the world from a new perspective.

NEW FOR 2026: MUSIC ‘N’ MAVENS PLAYS INTO THE NIGHT

New for 2026, Music ’N’ Mavens After Dark invites audiences to enjoy the series in a whole new way. These Wednesday evening concerts at 7:30 p.m. offer longer performances designed for a night out. The lineup features the flamboyance of Elton John with Paul De Gurse & Aaron Hutton, Vox Populi playing Stevie Wonder and Bill Withers, a Joni Mitchell anthology with Erin Propp and Larry Roy, and Those Guys, Winnipeg’s beloved a cappella ensemble.

“We heard from our community that they wanted more; more opportunities, more time, more music,” said Karla Berbrayer, Founding Producer of Music ’N’ Mavens. “After Dark is our answer. This series expands the program in a bold and exciting way, while keeping the heart of what makes Music ’N’ Mavens so special.”
