Hadar Maoz, an electrifying Israeli artist with deep Persian roots, brings 2,500 years of Jewish-Persian musical history to life in a concert that’s as spiritual as it is high-energy.

Who is Hadar Maoz?

Raised on the devotional music of her Persian and Bukharian heritage, Hadar learned sacred drumming, chanting, and playing the Tar, a stringed instrument dating back to the Second Temple.

But she doesn’t just play the Tar. She reinvents it, blending ancient melodies with blues, groove, and modern electronic beats.

Ancestral tradition meets modern musical forms in a sound you can’t resist.

Hadar dances psalms, drums prayers, and sings the stories of her ancestors with fierce passion and a contemporary edge. Her show is living proof that tradition can be both deeply spiritual and wildly fun. And yes, she even moonwalks with her Tar!

Joined by renowned violinist Maestro Johannes Graber, Hadar Maoz offers Winnipeg audiences a performance unlike anything they’ve seen or heard before.

This is more than a concert. It’s a cultural celebration you won’t want to miss.
