The 2025-2026 season of the
Jewish Business Network continues on
Monday, March 23, at 7 p.m.
On behalf of the Rady JCC and GROW Winnipeg (powered by Jewish Federation of Winnipeg), we invite you to an engaging and timely presentation on the current business landscape and what it takes to succeed during these tumultuous times.
Meet Your Speaker
Brian Scharfstein is the director and co-owner of Canadian Footwear and FootHealth Centers, with locations in Winnipeg and Calgary. A proud Winnipegger, he has enjoyed a long career in business for over 58 years. With a team of over 100 employees, Brian places the utmost importance on workplace safety and ensuring a secure shopping experience for the community.
As a certified Canadian Pedorthist, Brian specializes in managing foot complications associated with diabetes and arthritis. He also serves as a Footwear and Orthotics Benefit Claims consultant for Canada Life. In 2013, he chaired the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce and has also served as Vice-Chair of the Winnipeg Police Board. Brian is currently an active member of the Manitoba Retail Security Task Force with the Retail Council of Canada, and is committed to the safety of the Exchange District Downtown Community Safety Project.
In addition to his business leadership, Brian has been teaching nursing footcare classes for many years across various communities. He has managed footwear programs for diabetic patients in collaboration with nursing stations in Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario. With almost 25 years of experience, he has worked in Ambulatory and Complicated Wound Care Clinics at two Winnipeg hospitals.
Brian will present a perspective on the current business climate with reflections on the past, the present, and his forecast for the future.
Meet Your Business Community
Jewish Business Network events are all about learning and staying on top of current trends, but there’s much more to it than that. After each presentation, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with your fellow attendees over coffee and snacks.
These events are more than just a lecture, they’re new chapters in the story of your business as you meet, greet, and connect with other, likeminded folks.
Registration is free but space is limited so don’t delay!
