Group Swim Lessons for All Ages

Whether your child is just starting to feel comfortable in the water or already swimming with confidence, our group swim lessons offer a safe, encouraging, and structured way to learn and grow.

Led by certified instructors, these lessons are designed for all ages and skill levels, from playful preschoolers to focused teens and even adult learners. Each class is built to boost confidence, improve technique, and help swimmers progress at their own pace while enjoying the energy and motivation of a group setting.

Swimming is more than just a recreational skill. It promotes physical fitness, builds water safety awareness, and creates a strong foundation for a healthy, active lifestyle.

Our current session features a full range of lesson times and levels to choose from. Click here to see what’s available.

Private & Semi-Private Swim Lessons

Looking for a more personalized experience in the pool? Whether you’re just starting out or working on refining your technique, private and semi-private swim lessons offer focused instruction at your pace.

Train one-on-one with a certified instructor who tailors each session to your individual goals, or bring a friend and learn together in a supportive, low-pressure environment. These lessons are perfect for building confidence, overcoming fears, or simply getting more hands-on guidance to improve your skills.

Flexible scheduling and customized instruction make private and semi-private lessons a popular choice for swimmers of all ages.

New this Fall: Later Lessons! This Fall, we’re offering even more flexibility with our swim lesson schedule. Some classes now offer times between 7:30 - 8 p.m. to help families fit lessons into their busy schedules.

Sessions run year-round — Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer — and they fill fast. But Rady Members get early access with exclusive early bird registration and 25% off all swim programs.

Ready to take the plunge? Check out our private and semi-private swim lesson options and reserve your spot today.

We’re making it easier than ever to track your child’s progress. Starting this session, all swim lesson report cards will be available online through the Swimgen program.

You’ll be able to access your child’s report card anytime, from anywhere, 24/7 and year-round. Click here to take a look!

To log in, please enter your child’s Amilia ID code (starts with a P).

If your past Rady JCC report cards haven’t yet transferred over to the Amilia system, please contact:

When Are Swim Badges Handed Out?

If your child earns any badges during the session, they will be handed out in person on the final day of class.

Thank you for being part of the Rady Swim community! We’re proud to support your child’s swimming journey.

Which Swim Level Is Right for Us?

Has your child taken swim lessons somewhere else before? Whether they were part of the Lifesaving Society’s Swim for Life program or the Red Cross Learn to Swim program, we’ll help you find the right starting point at the Rady JCC.

If your child completed lessons through the Swim for Life curriculum (such as at the YMCA), we’ve made it easy to match their progress to our levels. Click here to view the Lifesaving Society’s Swim for Life level guide.

If your child followed the Red Cross Learn to Swim program, we’ve got that covered too. Click here to view the Red Cross Level guide.

Still not sure? Our team is happy to help place your child in the right level.
