2026 is Off to a Great Start with Music ‘N’ Mavens
The 2026 season of Music ‘N’ Mavens is here, and the response has been great. Our theatre and lecture spaces have been bustling with excitement with energizing concerts, and thought-provoking ideas.

Tickets & Registration
Afternoon concert tickets begin at $12. Afternoon speaker sessions remain free, with donations welcome and advance registration required. Members receive 25% off ticket purchases.
All afternoon programming takes place on select Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Rady JCC, 123 Doncaster Street, with the exception of the March 4 special concert at the Gwen Secter Creative Living Centre. Haskel J. Greenfield is a Distinguished Professor of Anthropology, Co-Director of the Near Eastern and Biblical Archaeology Lab, and Coordinator of the Judaic Studies Program at the University of Manitoba. His research focuses on the evolution of early agricultural and early complex societies in the Old World (Europe, Africa, and Asia) from the Neolithic to the Iron Age. He will be presenting on his research at ancient Shiloh, Israel.

Is There a Connection?

Shirley Render is former Executive Director of the Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada, recipient of the Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Historical Preservation and Promotion, and has been named to Canada’s Aviation Hall of Fame.
She has authored two published books on aviation history: Double Cross: The Inside Story of James A. Richardson and Canadian Airways and No Place for a Lady: the Story of Canadian Women Pilots, 1928-1992.
When the sun goes down, the music keeps going “After Dark”
By popular request, this year, Music ‘N’ Mavens will offer four evening concerts. These are longer shows, happening on Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. These shows will be longer than the afternoon sessions, and feature an intermission - perfect for a special night out.
